Resembling a small cheetah, with its slim body and long limbs, the serval has a yellow coat with dark spots that tend to merge into longitudinal stripes on the back and head. Its large ears are rounded and close set, and its short tail has several dark rings and a black tip. The serval has the longest legs and largest ears in relation to its body than any other cat.
